• What is monetization?

Monetization is a system with which players can help financially support our servers and help us keep them live and running while they receive some kind of perk/reward. All the perks/rewards we are providing are within the Bohemia Interactive monetization rules as stated here(https://www.bohemia.net/monetization). This means that everyone that gets one of our monetization plans will not have any in-game advantage over a non-monetization player. 

• Why do we have monetization enabled?

We decided to enable monetization because the financial cost it takes to keep multiple servers running, not to mention to keep them up to date, provide stable internet access etc. is starting to become very taxing on our own pockets. 

We will use the monetization funds for:

• Paying for all server expenses (server cost, internet provider, etc.)
• Paying for important server tools (Battlemetrics RCON, other admin/RCON tools)
• Paying for our webhosting and website maintenance
• Paying for server promotion (DZSA Launcher, other promotions)
• Help us develop more custom server setups and custom server mods

• What are the perks in the monetization system that players can receive?

Currently there are 3 specific offers we have enabled. All the monetization plans last for 30 days and players can re-subscribe (manually or leave it on auto-subscribe) or remove their subscription whenever they want. Here are all the offers and what perks you get for each one.

  • Priority Queue on all FreakZone DayZ servers for 30 days.

• What is priority queue?

When a DayZ server is full and more players wish to enter, they are placed in a queue. Priority queue is a perk that will allow VIP and VIP+ members to join our servers faster if there is ever a big queue of players waiting to enter.

• How do I get one of these monetization perks?

You can get them by subscribing to one of our monetization plans located in the Shop(https://freakzone.xyz/shop/) menu on our website. The application itself will go through the website, while the payment system will be going through our Patreon(https://www.patreon.com/freakzonedayz/membership). Once you fill out the application on the website, you will be redirected to our patreon page to finalize the patreon subscription.

• When will I receive my perks after a complete subscription?

All the orders are handled manually by the FreakZone Team. Please allow us up to 24 hours before your order is activated. You will receive a confirmation mail once all the perks are enabled.

• Do I need to get one of the monetization plans?

No, they are optional. They are by no means mandatory and they will not change your gameplay or give you any advantage in-game whatsoever. Everyone can enter all FreakZone servers and play there for free. However, if you wish to help us keep the servers running and help us keep improving them, then we would really appreciate the support. 

• Third-party mods and approvals

All of our servers have been granted approval for monetization from the third-party mods we are using on them. Some of the mod creators publicly allow monetization while using their mods on their Steam workshop page or Community Discord, as long as the servers follow the Bohemia Interactive monetization rules as stated here (https://www.bohemia.net/monetization). For the mods that don’t have an explicit statement like this, we contacted the mod creators themselves, explained our monetization plan and got approved by them personally.
